Stolen Moments

To hold your hand
Or feel you in my arms

To touch your skin
Or lay my hand upon your arm

For even though the moments stolen,
They burn with a passionate truth...
For even though the moments stolen,
You can feel it in our hearts...

To watch you smile
Or hear your laugh

To catch a whiff of a sweet perfume
Or brush past you on a busy street

For even though the moments stolen,
They burn with a passionate truth...
For even though the moments stolen,
You can feel it in our hearts....

To gaze in your eyes an eternity
Or feel your heart beating against mine

To hold you as day fades way
Or feel those last touching moments

One day the moments won't be stolen,
And our hearts burn out in open...
One day the moments won't be stolen,
And everyone will see it in our hearts...

Wow.
It was lovely, beautiful, and full of sorrow all at the same time.
I cried.

Easily your best. At least, in my opinion...

I'm not sure about this one...I think it's quite beautiful, and intense. I think I maybe just don't relate to it? I'll read it again in time and maybe it'll all click for me.
I know you're going to say something to the nature of "that's not me" or "that's not how I write" or something like that. But you talk about expanding as a writer.
I want you to try something for me, an exercise if you will. Go to a quiet place and think about someone positive in your life. Someone you trust, someone you love, someone you can call on anytime and they are there for you. Friend or family. A love. A guy or a girl. It doesn't matter, just someone positive in your life.
Now, write about how that feels. Write about light. Not the light you can glimpse or see down the road, but the light you're standing in now, as you think of them and the affect they have on your life.
Just try it. I know...but would I truly be your mom if I didn't give you challenges?
I love you...Mom
